Collegiate women’s basketball returns to Collège Universel in 2021-2022

Gatineau -

Collège Universel – Gatineau Campus, the only private bilingual college-level educational establishment in the Outaouais, is proud to announce the return of a women’s collegiate basketball program. In fact, a team will be formed for the 2021-2022 season under the leadership of head coach Paul Carrière, seconded by Angela Pompeo. It will be playing in Division 2 of the RSEQ’s Southwest College Sector Conference.

The program seeks to promote academic success and the completion of a diploma of college studies (DEC) by student athletes, in a setting that effectively encourages both academic achievement and athletic performance.

Student athletes who join Collège Universel’s women’s basketball program will be eligible for a custom schedule providing a good balance between class time and practice.

An information session will be held this November: the date and time will be posted shortly on Collège Universel’s website and social media platforms.
