Admission requirements

Now that you have chosen your program, you must ensure that you meet the following general admission requirements in order to be admitted to Collège Universel – Campus Gatineau. 

Diploma of College Studies (DCS) 

Diploma of College Studies (DCS) 


Hold a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) or a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) and have accumulated the number of units allocated for learning the following subjects :


  • language of instruction in Secondary 5
  • second language in Secondary 5
  • mathematics in Secondary 4

You must meet one of the following conditions: 

  • hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) insofar as this DVS has enabled the holder to acquire training related to the program of study 
  • have a training judged sufficient and meet one of the following conditions :
    • have interrupted studies for at least two consecutive terms or one academic year
    • have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies over a period of one year or more 
    • be under an agreement between the college and an employer

Special admission requirements 

Natural Sciences: Prerequisites in chemistry, physics and strong mathematics. 

Programs with mathematics: Mandatory prerequisite in strong mathematics. 

Language proficiency for international students

To be eligible for our French programs, students must  :

  • Have completed their prior studies in French, 


  • Demonstrate proficiency in the language of instruction by passing a recognized language test (TFI, TEFAQ, …) with an overall score of advanced intermediate (B2)
